Here are some of the things that we hope for you to experience during one of our Sunday Gatherings:
Contemplative, heart-felt singing:
Our worship (in song) ministry incorporates traditional hymnody and contemporary music styles as we desire to join with the psalmist who passionately declares, “I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving” (Psalm 69:30).
On most Sundays, you’ll encounter expositional style messages—straight from the Holy Scriptures in a book-by-book, chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse manner. Maranatha holds fast to the bible as being the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God that points to Jesus. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work” (1 Timothy 3:16-17).
A relaxed & friendly atmosphere within a diverse community:
We desire to get to know you so please stick around for a while. Help yourself to refreshments, browse the resource the table, and don’t hesitate to ask questions—we are here to serve. Above all, we hope you’ll feel welcomed as we strive to be a community that reflects the multi-ethnic flavor of the Fort Lee area. “…from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages” (Rev. 7:9).
A compassionate, clean, and safe nursery & children’s church:
