MGYouth

MGYouth is the youth ministry (6th to 12th grade) of Maranatha.

“Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, ‘I have no pleasure in them.” (Ecc. 12:1)

We serve to complement, not replace or usurp, parental authority in training their children in the knowledge of the Gospel, the Bible, basic theology, and the essentials of Christian living. As a result, we disciple, we share our lives, we equip the students to serve, and we embrace the support of parents, the elders and the church in the process.

We believe that the local church is the appropriate context in which the youth may grow in relationship with Jesus Christ, their families, and friends. That is why we emphasize our unity as a local body and yet maintain our distinction as a youth group:

On Sundays, we join the rest of our church family in the Corporate Worship Gathering to worship the risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

On Fridays, we gather as a youth group for our weekly gatherings, which take place at 360 Sylvan from 7:30 - 10 PM. During our time, we play games, sing praise songs, hear a teaching, and participate in small groups. Light snacks and refreshments are served.
